Ascend by funicular to Gubałówka for panoramic alpine views, then traverse the highland meadows to a working bacówka where an oscypek smoker still cures sheep milk cheese over juniper smoke. Lunch is a tasting menu of Podhale specialities at a nineteenth century timber inn favoured by writers and statesmen. The afternoon brings a gentle walk into the Kościeliska Valley, limestone cliffs, glacial streams, and complete silence. Return to Kraków in time for dinner.
